Since the inception of the Tocqueville Forum, we have sponsored a yearly lecture in honor of Bishop John Carroll, S.J., Georgetown's distinguished founder, and his dedication to creating a Catholic institution that contributes to the political, cultural, educational, and spiritual life of America. In this spirit, our distinguished guest Cardinal George commemorated Bishop Carroll's legacy with a lecture entitled "Truth and Freedom," relating to his recent book, God in Action; How Faith in God Can Address the Challenges of the World.
The lecture took place at 6pm in the Lorhfink Auditorium in the Hariri Building on the campus of Georgetown University. A light reception followed for the crowd of over one hundred guests.
