Giving Back

Please help us expand and improve the Democracy and Governance Program!

The Democracy and Governance Program is in the midst of charting a multi-year expansion. We seek to offer more scholarship opportunities to students, new courses in areas we have deficiencies, recruit new faculty, and maintain a high level of programming activity for the benefit of the students and the wider University community. Our goals include:

  1. The creation of a “director’s fund” that can be used to fund partial scholarships for students, temporary adjunct faculty hires, and other program activity;
  2. An endowed scholarship fund for at least one incoming student per year;
  3. An endowed chair in “Democracy Studies” to attract a prominent scholar and/or practitioner to the program.

These are ambitious objectives, but they are goals that we believe are both realistic and appropriate for the Democracy and Governance Program, the Government Department, and the University as a whole in our mission to train the future generation of practitioners and scholars in the fields of democracy promotion and governance reform.

To make a contribution, please complete the online giving form. Please make sure to indicate in the Special Designation Box that the contribution is for the Government Department-Democracy and Governance Program.
