Alumni Employment

The Master’s Program in American Government degree provides graduates with a competitive edge when seeking future employment within or outside of the immediate D.C. area. Students in the program may aspire for professional positions in the federal government, research-oriented think-tanks, advocacy-oriented NGOs, community-based groups, media organizations, lobbying or political consulting firms, etc. The degree also provides a relevant academic background for further study in political science.

The signature feature of the program is that it enables students to combine the academic excellence of Georgetown University with practical experience within the political and policy communities of Washington, D.C. in a small and highly supportive environment.
